Cleveland, OH – Akron-based S4 Mobile Laboratories is proud to announce that Russell Pier, a master’s student at The University of Akron and a key contributor to S4 Mobile Laboratories, has been named a finalist for the Rising Star Award at the 18th Annual Best of Tech Awards, hosted by the Greater Cleveland Partnership.

Beyond his technical skill, Russell has led several educational and community engagement initiatives. Notably, he spearheaded the creation of an archaeological field school in partnership with the University of Winnipeg and Piapot First Nation, empowering Indigenous students with skills in geophysical surveys. His leadership in fostering inclusive tech practices has earned him recognition on both a regional and global level.
